It was always integral in joining any operation to familiarize yourself with your coworkers. Most individuals would take this opportunity to hang out in the crew lounge or casino or some such. Akady was familiarizing herself with her new best friend: the Astrometrics Lab.
A recent pickup from Utopia Planitia, Fel was a young, slender individual, wide-eyed more in the physiological sense than any implication of naivete. Easily mistaken for human, she was far from unattractive: short brown hair fell around her ears, her skin relatively pale. She wore the standard uniform, marking her as an Ensign, and was fast at work.
Her eyes were glued to the astrometric display, fingers flying across the keys as her brow slowly knit in consideration. Every system had its own quirks and temperaments, and Ensign Akady definitely wanted to find out this system's quirks before they'd left. Out of classroom habit, she'd left the doors to the Astrometrics Lab locked open, presenting a clear and easy view to anyone passing by. Her lips were curved in a very slight smile. Good to be in her element.
