William gave Grace a wide cheeky grin, it always made her smile, maybe a small laugh with it. "I will take you up on that offer Grace." He sighed after Grace planted a gentle kiss on his cheek."You better get back to your post. You don't want to have the captain coming after you on your first day." With that Grace walked away, William watched her until she was around the bend. Clapping his hands together for as he turned around and walked into the sick bay.
White walls with computers and blinking lights here and there, with tables at various parts of the room, which were equally spaced apart. There were no one that needed the assistance of the medical staff. The ship has not even out of Earth's orbit just yet as some crew members were still being beamed to the ship. Walking over to a chair, William sat down and started looking through the logs, just one more time before the voyage, wanting to see where the ship was meant to go, and what not. He learned that it never hurt to check once or twice before the voyage starts, it's the best way to know what you will be dealing with right?
He glanced over as another member of the medical staff walked into the room, "Good morning." William looked back to the computer as he logged it out and shut it off. Turning in his seat, he looked at the other man
with his head tilted some. "Is this your first voyage with us?"The other man asked curiously, William nodded stiffly, "Yes this is. With you. Not the very first voyage." He came to a stand and walked around the desk, his fingers tracing the slick surface, taking note of just how slick it was and the sounds it made as he trailed his fingers along the surface, "Is this your first voyage?" He watched as the man shook his head, "No, this is actually my fourth voyage." He watched as the man smiled some and looked to him, "You sound as though you are British. Are you British?" William nodded, "Yes I'm
British, from Cambridge." He smiled some, his hand dropped to his side. "Aren't you meant to be on a British ship then?" William shrugged, "I am not sure, all I know is that I was transferred to this ship for reasons that I do not know."
"Are you married? Engaged? Are you dating anyone?" The man asked, William frowned some and shook his head, "That.. don't you think that isgoing a little bit too personal on a first chat?" William then walked to his office, closing the door behind him when he got a beeping sound from his insignia on his chest. Pushing it he waited for a couple seconds, "Lt.Commander Roberson.." He immediately got his response, froma feminine voice, something he was not really expecting at all, "Please come to the bridge immediately."
He pressed the small item again, "I will be right there." With that William walked out of his small office and towards the doorway that will lead him out of the sick bay. Jamming his thumb onto the button he stood there for a minute or two, his hands neatly placed behind his back as he waited for the lift doors to open. He was feeling a little giddy due to once again being back on board after another year, once again, of being taken out of the military. He looked up and down the corridor, then back to the doors as they slid open.
Stepping inside he pushed another button before putting his hands back behind the small of his back. He cleared his throat, as he started to feel a little nervous, often when the captain or second in command called you up, it was not usually a good thing. He looked down at his feet for a moment, looking up as the doors swung open again. Dropping his hands to his sides, he calmly walked out of the lift, heading straight to the flight deck, or where ever it was that he had to go. He was not entirely sure where about the ship he was called to. As he stepped into the flight deck, he immediately felt as though he was out of place.
