The Story of the Carolina and Nike
This thread will contain backstory related to the battle with the Borg as gleaned from crewmembers' posts and reflections on the battle.
Episode 1- Borg Attack Backstory
The year was 2403. The USS Carolina, an Intrepid Class starship, was caught unawares by a Borg Diamond. The attack was vicious and instantaneous. The Carolina had little to no chance of escape or survival. Their distress call indicated impending disaster if help did not arrive. The USS Nike came to her aid. This is the story of the Carolina and the Nike’s battle with the Borg.
Upon disabling the Carolina, the Borg invaded without delay. Details of all the events are sketchy at best with heavy casualties from the Carolina. It is known that the Borg invaded engineering first, most likely to try and further disable the ship from any hope of escape. The engineering crew of the Carolina was decimated. A few lucky survivors managed to escape engineering with their lives. The bridge and other areas of the ship were targeted by the Diamond. Destruction, explosions, and even the total loss of large areas of the ship were reported.
The Carolina survivors reported that many of their crew were killed from the attacks themselves, while they were forced to watched others be assimilated before their very eyes. Tricia McAdams reported the loss of many crew, including that of her fiancé, Stenn, whose life was lost when a blast took out a huge section of the ship. Alexis McConville reported the death of many of her science comrades, including her chief, when the borg tried to take the labs and the crew. The entire command team of the Carolina died or were assimilated in the attack, while they tried to save their ship and crew.
The Nike, arriving just moments before the Carolina’s destruction, attempted to fight off the Borg. As the Nike drew the attention of the Borg, it bought the Carolina crew a few final minutes before the ship exploded. The Nike, realizing the Carolina had no chance, dropped her shield to beam any and all survivors to the main cargo bays.
In a matter of seconds the Carolina was no more and the Nike was soon riddled with explosions and problems of its own. Their shields were weakening and unbeknownst to them at first, the Borg had managed to beam aboard while the Nike’s shields were down. One particular explosion on the bridge of the Nike would have killed the captain had Sean Alexander, the first officer, not given his life to save Captain William Lester. The Borg soon invaded the bridge, Engineering and the main cargo bay where the Carolina survivors had been transported to. Battles ensued everywhere.
In an attempt to save the Nike and the rest of her bridge crew, Captain Lester remained on the bridge while others were evacuated. His attempts to hold off and destroy the Borg saved all onboard the Nike, even though it nearly cost him his very own life. Lifepods were dispatched in an attempt to save whatever crew was able to escape the Nike. Lester was later rescued from the burned out bridge of the Nike.
Meanwhile, on other areas of the Nike the Borg had also materialized. Main Engineering was quickly overrun with Borg drones, just as the Carolina had been. There was almost little to no hope for the engineering crew to escape. Most of engineering was destroyed during the fight, as were most of the engineering and operations crew who were there to assist with the Nike’s attack on the Borg drone.
Within the cargo bays, the Carolina survivors attempted to once again ward off their impending assimilation by Borg drones, this time aided by the Nike security and other officers. More lives were lost, more injuries sustained.
Finally, due to the heroic efforts of the Nike’s crew, especially her captain, William Lester, the Nike managed to destroy the Borg Diamond and limp her way back towards the nearest starbase, where she was transferred to Utopia Planitia for major repair and refit.
As soon as the Borg was defeated, the crew of the Nike gained access to the bridge, where they were able to rescue the badly injured Lester. His injuries, while severe, would not take his life. However, Lester had a long road of recovery ahead of him. He would be transferred to Starfleet medical, along with the other severely injured crewmembers for continued and long-term care.
The second officer, Commander Pheobe Sutherland, ship’s chief medical officer, was forced to take command of the Nike in order to get her back to space-dock and prepare for the final farewells that many of the crew were faced with. By the time all was said and done, 21 members of the Nike crew, including her XO were killed in action, more were severely injured, and most others suffered minor injuries. The Carolina crew was nearly destroyed. Not even a third of her contingent made it back alive.
The ship herself suffered severe damage. Many systems were destroyed, others suffered severe problems. ‘Scars’ of the battle marred the once gorgeous hull of the galaxy-class vessel.
Now, not only will the Nike need repair, but so will the souls that inhabit the space, where ghostly memories of friends and loved ones, battle and survival, life, heroism, and loss fill the now quiet corridors. Shadows that will forever more be a part of the Nike just like the crew who will soon inhabit her once again….as life must move on. Old friends lost, but never forgotten.

Episode 2: Docked at Utopia Planitia
Date: 2403 Approximate Real Time Dates for this Mission: December 2009-January 2010
Location: USS Nike docked at Utopia Planitia
Once docked at Utopia Planitia, the USS Nike undergoes extensive repairs and many crew changes and updates.
Almost immediately upon arriving, the new Captain, Captain Lara Rell, pays her respect to the 27 Nike crew members who lost their lives in the battle against the Borg. Each of the departed crew is escorted from the Nike by a fellow officer on their way to their final resting place. After the ceremony ends Captain Rell prepares to board the Nike.
Upon arriving on the Nike, Captain Rell quickly makes her way to sickbay where When Lara arrives in sickbay, there are many individuals still being treated. She quickly makes her way over to the Nike’s captain, William Lester, whose injuries were so severe that he must be transported back to Starfleet Medical for care. After a brief ceremony, the Lara is officially the captain of the USS Nike. In the midst of this small ceremony, Nike’s new Executive Officer, Commander Vladik Fedorov arrives and witnesses the transfer of command.
Lara spends a few minutes speaking with Robin, who is still be treated for his injuries during the attack. Robin is struggling with the fact that he survived and so many others were loss or severely injured. As they are speaking all those present watch as Captain Lester is whisked away towards a long journey of recovery. After spending a few more minutes with Robin, Lara and Vladik leave sickbay in the capable hands of the new medic, Ensign Vahtter.
After Lara and Vladik leave, Vahtter continues to treat Robin’s injuries. Robin, who is still struggling with the loss of his commanding officer, remembers times he had served with Lester.
Also in sickbay is Lt. Tricia McAdams who is receiving treatment for her injuries as well. While there, her new chief security officer, Lt. Cmdr. M’Ral approaches her and asks to see her after she has finished receiving her treatment. After talking some about what happened and receiving treatment Robin is released from sickbay with the stipulation that he return to light duty. Tricia receives her treatment as well and then promptly leaves sickbay, which catches Vahtter a bit unawares.
Tricia soon heads off to meet with M’Ral in the security officers. After a brief discussion, including a recommendation that she make use of a counselor, the two set off on a short tour of the ship, where they spend some time examining the weapons locker. After M’Ral heads off, Tricia does as well. She has plans to visit someone whom she hopes will help her with the loss of her fiancé, Stenn.
Meanwhile, on the bridge, the Captain and XO spend some time getting acquainted. They discuss personal interests as well as plans for the repairs and the ship’s voyage. They both speak with Commander Phoebe Sutherland, who as the ship’s second officer, was in charge of getting her to spacedock following the terrible fight. She is relieved to know that she can give up her temporary Captain’s duties and return back to her work in medicine.
During their discussion Lara announces that the Nike will be taking on a Marine Contingent because of the Borg threat. Both Vladik and Phoebe are stunned but not really surprised by this announcement. Problems with the Borg are only escalating around the galaxy. Shortly after Phoebe leaves, the first of the marines arrive – Lieutenant Norgow, the XO of the marine continent. He stops by to introduce himself to the captain.
Meanwhile the new chief engineer, Lt. Commander Pesh’ewa arrives. Immediately he begins to note problems that still need fixing onboard the Nike. He, too makes his way to see the captain in order to prioritize the tasks he needs to see too. Once he arrives, he meets Norgow, the Klingon marine. After both speak with the captain for a few minutes, she asks Pesh’ewa to remain, while also calling Vladik to return. On his way to the bridge, the turbolifts malfunction, which causes Vladik to announce that all turbolifts will be off-line until they can be repaired.
Back in the captain’s ready room, Lara promotes Pesh’ewa to commander and also asks him to become the ship’s third officer. Surprised and proud Pesh’ewa gladly accepts both the new rank and the new position. With congratulations from both Vladik and Lara, Pesh’ewa heads off to try and get the turbolifts back online.
In other areas of the ship, different members of the crew are trying to deal with their own feelings and problems following the attacks.
Chief Ops office Lt. Cmdr. Farrah Pedrick is overcome by guilt at the loss of the Carolina. Her emotions are so strong that she ends up transferring off the Nike to try and find peace and recovery somewhere else.
Ensign Evangeline Vaughn and Lt. JG Robin Star spend some quality time together in the arboretum discussing what happened to them. They both try and help each other make some kind of sense of the tragedies that have befallen the crews of the Carolina and Nike. The two seem to be developing some sort of connection. Their conversation would likely have lasted well into the night, if they hadn’t been called away on duty.
Lt. Commander Travis Rousseau goes in search of his wife, Lizzie Rousseau, who is nearly 9 months pregnant. After all that happened during the attacks, he is especially concerned with her safety. He finds her working in the ship’s stores, where she is the chief clerk. Upset to find her working, he escorts her back to their quarters where they spend some quality time together, helping each other recover from the attack.
Meanwhile in sickbay, Ensign Ibis sh’Ctarr arrives and spends some time speaking with Ensign Vahtter and Lt. Commander Nicholas Grant, one of the ship’s doctors. As the three are speaking, Lt. Joseph Munroe, the new ships counselor arrives asking them for advice on how best to help the crew. Vahtter, who does not like counselors, quickly leaves, while the other two offer suggestions. Joe soon spends some time visiting with the patients under the watchful eye of Ibis, until he receives word that someone has requested to meet with him in his office.
Tricia has asked to speak with the new counselor. When Joe arrives in his office he tries his best to help her. She soon tells him of how devastating it was to watch people she knew vanish and die during the attack on the Carolina. Most notably, she watched her fiancé, Stenn get sucked into space. Joe somehow senses that she needs a friend, more-so than just a counselor. He offers her support with a simple touch of his hand. Together he helps her begin the healing process. Before she leaves, he gifts her with a collection of recordings that he hopes will help her find some peace.
Lt. Alexis McConville, newly appointed chief science officer from the Carolina, enters ten-forward by mistake when trying to find her way to the science labs. While there she talks with the original lounge hostess, Katrin. Katrin was on the Nike during the attack. During that time, Assistant chief engineer Lt. Walter Rhodes approaches and spends some time talking with Alexis and Katrin. However, after only a few short moments, Katrin receives a disturbing message, which causes her to give up her job on the Nike to handle whatever the news was. Though Alexis is sad to see her go, she is enjoying meeting new people, like Walter. Soon, however, a new arrival catches her eye. Dr. Nicholas Grant arrives in Ten-Forward to get himself a good meal between surgeries. It doesn’t take long to realize that he and Alexis have some sort of chemistry between them. After a pleasant lunch, the two agree to meet again later for dinner.
Back on the bridge, Colonel Jonathon Richards, commanding officer for the marines arrives to greet Captain Rell. The two have obviously worked together in the past as they discuss many personal matters, which leaves Vladik wondering what is going on. Lara tries to explain her connection with Richards. The three continue their conversation while they wait for the turbolifts to be repaired.
In other areas of the ship, some of the other new crew members arrive, including Ensign Fau’cheth, the new Caitian helmsman, and Ensign Autumn Sommer, the new nurse. On her first visit to sickbay to familiar herself, she happens to encounter the new assistant chief science officer, Lt. Patrick Davidson. Davidson managed to fall while in the shower, injuring his back. With Autumn and Phoebe’s help he is soon relieved of his pain and spends some time resting in sickbay.
Alexis finally makes it to the science labs, where she proceeds to get to work putting them in order. Soon, she is joined by Ensign Zaynah, another of the science officers. After helping her heal a cut caused by a silly accident, the two talk of many things, including loss. The young Orion’s take on things helps Alexis start her own road to recovery after the destruction of the Carolina. Working together, they finally get the lab cleaned up.
While trying to pass the time, Major Norgow heads to the gym prepared for a workout. The machine he wants to use does not work the way he would like it too. In a fit of anger, he crushes the machine. It just so happens that Farrah Pedrick comes in, while working on some repairs. Farrah tries to figure out what happened to the machine. Though Norgow is ready to admit his guilt, Farrah instead is enjoying this encounter. Soon, though she must leave, at which time she chooses to leave the Nike behind for good. Norgow meanwhile joins the summons for all able-bodied crew to meet in engineering.
With the turbolifts down, newly promoted Commander Pesh’ewa puts out a ship-wide call for help to repair the vital system. Soon, many of the crew respond, including Tricia, M’Ral, new security officer Ensign Mitra Rhee, Joe, Walter, Marlee, and Norgow. Others, include Ensign Fau’cheth and Ensign Vaughn report in from their current locations. Pesh’ewa explains to those assembled that the electromagnetic conduits need repaired. Giving them each a device and a section of the ship, pairs of officers set off to make the necessary corrections. Meanwhile, Fau’cheth keeps track of the progress from her station on the bridge. All goes fairly smoothly until Pesh’ewa encounters a stuck turbolift car, which soon overloads causing him to receive a burn to his hand. Eva and Robin are soon dispatched from their location to correct the problem, while Pesh’ewa’s team and the other teams finish their task and head off, knowing the turbolifts have been repaired. After a few minor mishaps, Robin and Eva are able to complete the repairs to the turbolift car, which allows all cars to be back in operation. Following the repairs, Pesh’ewa stops off in sickbay, where Ensign sh’Ctarr quickly heals it.
Meanwhile, in sickbay, Chief medical officer, Commander, Phoebe Sutherland calls together her senior staff for an impromptu meeting. Soon, both Nick and Travis have joined her. All three are tired, overworked and in need of a break, but their jobs are far from over. They are planning to discuss shift rotations for after the birth of Travis and Lizzie’s child. Little do they know that things are going to happen rather quickly. With Phoebe called away to treat a patient, Nick and Travis discuss having Lizzie come in for a quick checkup. Travis, sends a message to his wife, who proceeds to on her way to sickbay, only to learn the turbolifts are not in operation. Crawling through the access ladders seems to add to the strange feelings running through her body. Before she even makes it to sickbay, she quickly realizes she is going into labor. When her water breaks in the doorway there is no doubt. With monitors in place, Nick, who will deliver the baby, is concerned by an elevated heart-rate. Preparing for the worst just in case, he preps Nurse Sommer and Phoebe on his plans. Thankfully, all goes well and little Allison Rousseau soon makes her first appearance into the world. The happy couple spends some time getting to know their new daughter and recovering from the unexpected delivery before returning to their quarters to begin life as a family of three.
Once Allison has been delivered, Phoebe goes to assist Lt. Patrick Davidson and make sure he is ready to be discharged. A bit unsteady on his feet at first, he soon begins to improve. While there, however, he seems to be trying to catch the eye of Phoebe. How will she respond to his subtle advances?
With his hand back to normal, Pesh’ewa heads to the bridge to check in with the ensign who had assisted the repair effort. It was almost as though some unforeseen fate had drawn him there. He quickly learns that his suspicious were correct and Fau’cheth is indeed a Caitian. What transpires next is a truly miraculous event. Almost instantly upon meeting, the two sense a deep, almost spiritual connection. They become connected almost immediately, in what is known as a bonding among Caitians. This scene quickly draws attention on the bridge, but Captain Rell, who happens to exit her ready room, does her best to aide the two to a more suitable location. Pesh and Fau soon find themselves in the arboretum, where after a bit of playful chasing it is evident that their bond is growing. Desiring to complete the process, Pesh’ewa takes her back to his quarters, and there, before the statue of the Goddess, the perform the time-honored tradition, which is soon followed by a very busy afternoon spent in each other’s company.
Once their bond is complete, Pesh’ewa goes to speak with Captain Rell and explain what has occurred. She is very open and accepting of the union.
In other areas of the ship, Lt. Joseph Munroe, decides to go for a bit of a swim after working on the turbolifts. While there, he meets Marlee and the new hostess of ten-forward Jordyn Monico. After a bit of playful banter in the water, Joe is called away to receive a special message that his special niece has just recently become engaged. He makes plans to be there for the ceremony when that day comes.
Following her time working on the turbolifts, Tricia heads to her quarters to clean up and spend some time alone. Taking the time to grieve she cries for her lost love, before putting on the musical score that Joe had shared with her during their counseling session. Her privacy is soon interrupted by a visit from an old friend, Alexis. The two, who had been friends from the Carolina enjoy a fun chat together, where they discuss old times, old friends, Stenn, and even a hint of a new romance for Alexis. With that final thought in mind, Tricia sends Alexis on her way to prepare for her dinner with Nick.
Before Nick and Alexis arrive in 10-forward, Ensign Mitra Rhee spends some quiet time gazing at the stars. He is soon joined by Joe. Rhee explains to Joe that he is a bit uncomfortable still in off-duty activities with his superior officers. Joe tries to encourage him to relax and open up a bit more. After a good talk, the two men each head off on their own separate ways, but not before Nick and Alexis meet together for their pre-planned dinner date. All is going well and their private time might have continued until the captain’s memorial message filters through the ship. Nick comforts Alexis who is distraught by the question of why she was one of the ones who survived when others did not.
In another area of the ship, the marine command team meet to become acquainted and discuss some ideas. Colonel Richards and Major Norgow discuss the purpose of their mission, to pursue the Borg. They also make plans to see that all members of the crew are prepared for what is to come, not just the marines and the security staff. Following their discussion, Norgow leaves and Richards heads off to meet with an interesting new arrival, Dameon Ropalski.
Dameon, a rather interesting character, arrives with a group of marines at his side. Their cargo, whatever it is, is delivered to Cargo Bay One. Dameon contacts both Captain Rell and Colonel Richards, requesting and expected them to join him. Richards does, but Rell, however, has other plans at this time. After a brief meeting in her ready room with Lt. Munroe, Lara plays a very heartfelt message as a memorial to the fallen.
Now, only time will tell how the new crew interacts with each other. Will the Nike soon encounter the Borg again? Will she be ready? What new friendships and bonds will last and which will fade away into nothingness? The Nike is just ready and waiting to set off on many new adventures. What will they entail? Only time will tell.

Episode 3: Memorial Tribute (Part One)
Date: 2403 Approximate Real Time Dates for this Mission: Mid-January 2010-February 2010
Location: Onboard the Nike, Docked at Utopia Planitia Shipyards
Knowing that the time has come, Lara retires to her ready room to prepare for the upcoming memorial for the fallen. As she reviews the records of those that were lost, Pesh’ewa arrives to speak with her. He explains in the best way he can what took place between himself and Fau’cheth earlier in the day that led to their bonding. Having sought her help in how to handle this situation, he is pleased when she gives words of assurance, rather than censure. With her blessing, in a manner of speaking, over the bonding, Pesh’ewa leaves to return to his wife and complete the necessary paperwork.
Shortly after Pesh’ewa’s departure, Joe arrives, having been summoned by the captain. Moments after his arrival, Lara gives a moving ship-wide speech remembering the honored dead. Offering what help he can to her during this difficult time, Joe leaves to help start the celebration of life taking place in Ten-Forward. On his way out, he passes Vlad, who is working at his console on the bridge. Vlad and Lara talk on the bridge some as they try and accomplish various tasks as well. Neither wants to join the celebration too soon for they know that their presence will likely change the atmosphere of the party. After enough time passes, the two put aside their work and make plans to meet at 10-forward to arrive together.
The Celebration of Life, organized by 10-forward hostess, Jordyn Monico, is soon underway. Most officers from all stations have arrived to take part in the celebration in some way, including the marines. Soon, Tricia and Joe have stuck up a conversation and Zaynah and Vahtter have arrived together. Alexis and Nick, who had already been enjoying a meal together in 10-forward begin to notice the other arrivals and make plans to join them as well. Others arrive including Mitra Rhee, and Private Tara Mack, one of the new marine arrivals. After talking for a few minutes, Rhee spots another new arrival, a Trill at the bar. Upon joining her he learns her name is Malia Odan and she is a joined Trill because of Borg attack. Tara, sensing perhaps that she isn’t as ‘welcome’ with Rhee and Malia, chooses another spot at the bar.
The newly married couple, Fau’cheth and Pesh’ewa soon arrive as well. Upon arriving, Pesh is pleasantly surprised to find an old friend of his on the ship, Vahtter. The two share a few moments together before introductions are made all around. In celebration of Pesh and Fau’s union, the group raises their glasses in toast. Pesh, drinking the punch from the party, soon finds it not quite to his liking and it ends up splattered all over Vahtter and a few of the others as well.
Off in another area of the party, the marines seem to be gathering in their own space. Tara is greeted by Dameon Ropalski, while Jonathan Richards speaks with Norgow for a brief time before going over to intervene when he senses that Tara and Dameon are not quite getting along. They are soon joined by another of the new marines, 1st Lieutenant Heath Ellerton. Overall the celebration seems to be going well as Jordyn leads her staff out with food and quickly gets to work making sure all the patrons are happy. The other guests enjoy some time to talk together and get to know one another. Tricia and Vahtter, who both got covered in the sticky punch from Pesh’ewa try and help each other clean up. It seems as though there may be something more developing between them, but only time will tell. As Vahtter heads off to change his now soiled clothing, Lara and Vlad arrive. They greet many of the party-goers and spend a few moments congratulating the newly bonded Caitian couple before mingling some more with the rest of their crew.
Hoping to liven things up a bit, Vlad invites Tricia to join him in a dance. They soon draw the attention of the full crowd as it seems the two are quite a dancing pair. It is clear that the new executive officer has skill on the dance floor and when their dance is over he finds himself the center of many eager hands, including Zaynah. With her athleticism and his skill, their dance becomes mesmerizing to the crowd, especially the men in the crowd.
Back at the bar, Jordyn and Heath seemed to have stuck up a flirtatious conversation as both are very free spirits when it comes to sexuality. In fact, the two might have continued their conversation further if the events of the room didn’t keep drawing their attention away, especially Jordyn who finds herself very busy handling the entire celebration.
As the dancing begins to wind down, some of the guests start to filter their way out of the party. Feeling a bit self-conscious with the idea of dancing, Alexis suggests that she and Nick go somewhere else to enjoy the rest of their evening. They set off for the special waterfall feature on the ship. Joe, a bit jostled by the crowd, accidently bumps into Tricia, spilling punch all over her dress. Hoping to change and return to the party, she plans to leave 10-forward and asks Joe to join her. Heath, on the other hand, is looking for a bit of fun of his own. He spots a Klingon female, another marine who came onboard with Ropalski - 2nd Lieutenant Yadira. Tara tries to warn him that such an encounter could be rather painful. That’s when Heath spots exactly the person he needs to make his night complete – Zaynah. Approaching her, they talk for a few moments and then soon make their exit from the party as well.
Meanwhile, Rhee and Malia seemed to have struck up a friendship that is rapidly evolving into an interest on both their parts. When they are approached by Lara, Rhee almost leaves, feeling out of place, but when Malia grabs his hand, he stays by her side. Lara, who knew the previous host for Odan, spends a few minutes talking with Malia and asking her to join her in the future for a chance to talk. Dameon approaches Lara to speak about his special items. She informs him that it is something that can be dealt with in the morning and then she returns her attention to the conversation between herself and Malia. Across the room, Pesh and Fau are enjoying their time together as are many of the other party-goers. After leaving the captain’s side, Dameon spots Yadira and makes his way towards her. She knows her job, but is also curious to know when she will be able to join in with the rest of the crew once her current mission for Dameon is complete.
Phoebe soon arrives and finds herself receiving quite a bit of attention from Jonathan. The two even take some time to share a dance together before the night is over.
Having left the party to change, Tricia arrives at her quarters with Joe along at her request. Joe, uncertain as to why exactly he is here, waits while she changes. Then, upon realizes that she has invited him to talk through some of her feelings from their earlier discussion, he begins to relax, since he has not wanted to make Tricia feel uncomfortable with any unexpected attentions considering what she has been through. She explains that she is finding herself attracted to many of the other men she sees, yet she is struggling with this since she has so recently lost her love. Joe helps her through this and she soon returns to the party, with Joe not too far behind. Also returning to the party after changing his attire is Vahtter. He and Tricia soon strike up another conversation. The two have a chance to get to know each other a bit better as they both eat from the snacks provided.
With the party atmosphere starting to change, Lara takes a few moments to address the group. Recalling those that were lost and reminding all that they are here to celebrate life and the good memories above all. Raising their glasses to those that had fallen from both crews, she makes her exit so that the other officers can relax and enjoy the party atmosphere without worrying about what their captain may think of their behavior.
Following the toast, most of the other party-goers begin to leave the celebration until only smaller groupings remain. It is during this time that Vahtter dances a special tribute dance for Tricia and Stenn, her lost love. The dance is very moving and soon Tricia is overcome by her emotions and makes a quick exit from 10-forward. However, before she can get back to her quarters, her grief reaches her and she is soon crying in the corridors. Vahtter, having heard this news, goes out to her to try and help.
Rhee and Malia strike off on their own adventures to check out the so-called Casino on the ship. And Phoebe and Jon, some of the last to leave the party bid each other a fond farewall after a wonderful dance, and then the Celebration of Life draws to a close. Yet, the after-effects of this celebration can be felt all throughout the ship.
To be continued in next post…
