Lara had seen her quarters and her yeoman was getting everything settled but she had to prepare for their memorial before they left on their first Partrol. The noise of the unpacking didn't allow her to concentrate on the various tasks at hand so she removed herself back to her ready room.
It was really amazing how quickly Nike's repair teams and the yard dogs had managed to affect repairs to the ship. Everywhere she looked there was evidence of tender loving care being lavished on the beautiful lady.
She reached the bridge and took a seat in her new command chair the place where she felt most at home. She smiled when she saw the Science station still configured for Damage Control. The Catian Ensign must have been the one here coordinating some of the repairs.
Lara narrowed her eyes, but that Ensign had been a helmsman. Curious.
She nodded and headed to the station, remember all her time in Ops reconfituring back to... what was this... oh Science III wasn't all that hard. Lucky for her there was no one else on the bridge... she smiled and then went into her ready room.

Reviewing the records of the deceased officers was difficult. So much talent wasted, lives terminated way too soon. She wished she'd had the opportunity to know these people. They were good and valuable people.
Sean Alexander had a stellar record. Quite the XO from Bills records. He seemed to manage the ship and crew flawlessly. He had family on Earth and a brother in Starfleet.
She thought about Bill and the crushed body she'd seen in sickbay along side her memory of the viogorus and athletic man he had been. She smiled a memory of him sitting at her piano singing a very ribald and suggestive... ancient history. She had no clue whether he'd ever play piano again. She wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and began again with the service records.
Stenn, Assistant Operations Chief aboard Carolina again an almost flawless record. She hated this part of her duty yet she knew they'd earned her small measure of devotion and she would see that they received it.
Lt. Cmdr. Venal
Lieutenant John Henderson
Ensign Klaar
The list just went on and on....
